Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 155 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

While editing a question for retagging I noticed that the c tag does not get prompted.

This seems to be a bug.

Good catch; that's indeed a bug. The "prioritize an exact match" logic was overlooked in the recent improvements. That's fixed now; thanks.

Wow! Such a fast fix on a live site?? I'm stunned!! No releases, no passing it to testers, no Q&A crap? Never seen anything like this. Good! – Tomas Aug 11 '11 at 8:48

@TomasTelensky: Who's a better tester than the user who actually uses the site? Deploy early, deploy often, and cherish a great community of people who care and who let you know when you screwed up :) – balpha Aug 11 '11 at 8:55

@balpha: Yes it's fixed now. – Alok Save Aug 11 '11 at 12:27

The same for r! Moreover, when i write r, it shows me c#!

c# has c-sharp as a synonym, which makes it the most-used tag that includes an "r". The actual r tag now is the first match, though. – balpha Aug 11 '11 at 8:31
