Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 155 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I hope this is not a dumb question, but in the SO question here the name shown as the OP is "You sir are a idoit". Now I know that anyone can name themselves what they want, but the fact that there is no picture, rating, or acceptance rate, and the name is not a link to anyone's page makes me believe something else must be going on than just someone naming themselves weirdly.

So what is going on in this case?

Means they can't spell "idiot". :) – Adam Lear Aug 11 '11 at 13:39

@AnnaLear: It also means they don't know when to use "an". – Andrew Grimm Oct 16 '11 at 22:18

Exquisitely ironic. – Robert Harvey May 29 '12 at 22:37
