Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Tags and seem to be the same thing. What about merging them?

They can't be merged, but they do need to be cleaned up. can (and often does) refer to an Access database file. I think that should be the canonical meaning for that tag, and should stay.

"They can't" because they're use for two purposes? – genesis Sep 15 '11 at 12:45
@genesis-φ Yes, because "mdb" has two valid meanings on the site, they should be separated instead of merged. – Bill the Lizard Sep 15 '11 at 12:45
okay, that seems fair – genesis Sep 15 '11 at 12:52
