What is meta? ×
Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 130 Stack Exchange communities.

Bugs are often said to be fixed in the next build. But how to tell builds apart as a mere mortal?

There's a build number in the bottom right corner of every page (on Meta currently 2011.9.17.6). Note there are three build groups: Meta SO, SO, and everything else.

Is this to mean that meta.*.stackexchange is the same build as *.stackexchange? –  corsiKa Sep 17 '11 at 13:42

@MatthewRead: Orly!? So meta.^stackoverflow.com share rep with their parent sites? –  Lightness Races in Orbit Oct 3 '11 at 23:45

While that's true, it has nothing at all to do with the build groups. –  balpha Oct 4 '11 at 0:08
