What is meta? ×
Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 141 Stack Exchange communities.

I think ROOT, as in the OO framework used in high energy physics experiment should have a different tag ("root-cern"/"root-hep"?). On doing a tag search for Root, most of the results relate to "root" (admin-level access), and ROOT results are difficult to find.

There is also the root of a filesystem (AKA / on unix), though that tag should probably be discouraged on SO. –  dmckee Sep 23 '11 at 12:35

I would submit as the tag to use.

could you create the tag. I do not have enough reputation. I will then look for some questions on ROOT and suggest retags. –  yayu Sep 25 '11 at 0:42

Done, and added to 3 questions. It's all yours. –  Lance Roberts Sep 25 '11 at 6:51
