Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

My posts are OK by the FAQ, but people (including me) don't like how they look when they come out.

I have not seen a conventions and style page to help format posts for Stack Overflow. Is there one?

Convention #1: The title of your question should be a question. – John Oct 23 '11 at 23:08
3 is a piece by Jon Skeet that covers this and more. – jonsca Oct 24 '11 at 0:02
non-shortened version of url :… – DanBeale Oct 24 '11 at 0:41
@DanBeale Thanks. You're right, I ordinarily wouldn't post shortened URLs like that, save for that one was created by Jon himself for this sort of purpose. – jonsca Oct 24 '11 at 2:15
If you don't like how they look, you should fix them. – Won't Oct 24 '11 at 14:16
