Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

For example when a question is closed as Off Topic it says:

overflow???

Shouldn't it say "Stack Exchange family of websites"?

Looks like historical remnant, even Jeff wrote "Stack Overflow “family” of websites" in this blog post about two years ago - guess it was before Stack Exchange became so large. :) – Shadow Wizard Dec 1 '11 at 15:11

@ShadowWizard yes, but that blog post was previous to the creation of the Stack Exchange ^_^ It should be updated – amanaP lanaC A nalP A naM A Dec 1 '11 at 15:12

Sure, I never doubted it should be changed (+1 is obvious) just thought out aloud why it's like that. :) – Shadow Wizard Dec 1 '11 at 15:14
