Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 155 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

The deleted answer to http://judaism.stackexchange.com/a/12100/732 has four delete votes, but two of them are from the same person.

How did that happen?

Most of us can't see deleted answers. Can you post a screenshot of: judaism.stackexchange.com/posts/12100/revisions ? – NullUserException อ_อ Dec 14 '11 at 5:00

@Fezziwig Link or didn't happen. – NullUserException อ_อ Dec 14 '11 at 5:24

Haha so basically every time you vote to delete and then vote to undelete, it appends your name to the list of deleters without checking if you're there already? – animuson Dec 14 '11 at 5:46

@animuson We are mods. We tend to break things. – NullUserException อ_อ Dec 14 '11 at 5:56

Similar question: Can the same user vote to close a question twice? – kiamlaluno Dec 14 '11 at 7:47

Delete vote is coming from ordinary members, but from the posted screenshots, it was deleted by moderator who need no "votes" - just semantics though. – Shadow Wizard Dec 14 '11 at 8:52

Seen this before when a normal user casts a close vote, then becomes mod and casts a definitive close vote. Maybe the same thing for deleting here? – Benjol Dec 14 '11 at 9:38

@ShmuelBrill This could be a bug, but it only takes 3 votes to delete posts anyways. – NullUserException อ_อ Dec 15 '11 at 3:42

From this page: Converting to comment multiple times leaves behind undelete votes

This will be fixed in the next build.
There is a vote cleanup function for
old votes that wasn't running on this
code path...and is now.

Huh, yeah, that's fixed and about undelete votes, not delete votes. – Time Traveling Bobby Dec 14 '11 at 12:50

The answer wasn't converted to a comment, neither was it a mod who had the two delete votes. – Shmuel Brin Dec 14 '11 at 17:44

I noticed that it's fixed – Shmuel Brin Jun 30 '14 at 4:50
