What is meta? ×
Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 131 Stack Exchange communities.

is used for the same as , for Spring @Autowire feature; they should be, in my opinion, made synonyms. , as much less used, should point to .

This tag is used mostly for Spring, however the name does not suggest it is limited to this technology. I wanted to start some discussion, but now I think that autowire is the correct name. Tag wiki would be however handy.

I've never used it anywhere else but in Spring, but I doubt it's Spring-specific? A quick search gets me, for example, autowiring in Autofac IoC container for Microsoft .NET. –  Arjan Dec 29 '11 at 13:05
I've checked a few pages and all was for spring. So asking about other technology could be misleading. –  РСТȢѸФХѾЦЧШЩЪЫЬѢѤЮѦѪѨѬѠѺѮѰѲѴ Dec 29 '11 at 13:44
Also Spring-inspired projects, like ColdSpring. –  Al E. Dec 29 '11 at 13:48
You have rights, it will be good if it will be used for all autowiring technologies. –  РСТȢѸФХѾЦЧШЩЪЫЬѢѤЮѦѪѨѬѠѺѮѰѲѴ Dec 29 '11 at 13:49
