Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

When looking through the sites on, Science Fiction and Fantasy isn't listed. It's also not listed in the set of icons when writing a query.

Additionally, trying to sneak in via gives a YSOD (not the Edgar F. Codd 404).

Is this intentional, and if not, can it be remedied?

This was already asked on the Scifi meta, so I'm voting to close this as off-topic – Michael Mrozek Jan 23 '12 at 18:55
@MichaelMrozek appropriately - I looked here but not there. Close away, MSO community! – Ian Pugsley Jan 23 '12 at 18:57
@MichaelMrozek Not that I care to reopen this question (I blame rchern for the duplication), but I thought Meta.SO doubled as Meta.SEDE, so why is this off-topic? – Gilles Jan 23 '12 at 21:38
@Gilles Because there's no point having it in two places, and I can't close as a duplicate of a post on meta.SFF. One could make the argument that fragmenting meta like this is a terrible idea. Not that I would ever say that, of course – Michael Mrozek Jan 23 '12 at 21:43
