Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Please make and synonyms of the tag. They are used for the same thing, and the fact that and has no tag wiki makes things even more confusing.

I think some re-tagging might be in order rather than just squashing them all together. For example, I see a lot of [limits] questions are about the standard header files limits.h and <limits> in C and C++, while a lot of [limit] questions are about the LIMIT keyword in MySQL. – hammar Jan 27 '12 at 9:39
Hmm in that case tag wiki is even more important. – Danubian Sailor Jan 27 '12 at 10:16
limits.h can be solved with a [limits.h] tag. The limit keyword in MySQL can be solved with a [limit-mysql] tag. The retagging could be made much easier if we had this feature – Robert Harvey Jan 27 '12 at 19:49
PostgreSQL also has LIMIT keyword so maybe it should be sql-limit? – Danubian Sailor Jan 27 '12 at 20:51
I didn't know that. Sure, of course. To aid in discoverability, there should be a [limit-sql] synonym. – Robert Harvey Jan 27 '12 at 20:52
limits.h should probably synonymize climits – Eric Jul 20 '13 at 21:38
we really need to set limitations on the limit of the amount of tags that have to do with limits – Doorknob Jul 21 '13 at 1:48
