Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I am searching for url:"*Prolog-inedit*" which works. Note that the P is upper case. A search for a lower case p does not give a solution. Now, after seeing the results for |relevance|, I want to switch to |newest| or |votes| or |active|. But when clicking on one of the other tabs, the query is downcased to url:"*prolog-inedit*".

I didn't even think the searches were case-sensitive. I guess because you're using the url operator? – Cody Gray Feb 20 '12 at 1:49

It appears to be just an issue with the link. Manually fixing the URL back to upper case to e.g. /search?tab=active&q=url%3a%22*Prolog-inedit*%22 works. – hammar Apr 20 '12 at 0:29

Don't know when this was fixed, but it has been... – Oded Jul 31 '14 at 13:12

Please don't add such edits, if you want you can add this as new answer, quoting Oded's comment. – Shadow Wizard Jul 31 '14 at 14:30

Solved! There is no longer any forced down-casing as Oded remarks. – false Jul 31 '14 at 14:34
