Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Let's say that a question has some deleted comments. Now, if I look at the deleted comments, they show the person who deleted the comment.

Now if I go in and choose purge all comments, it marks even the previously deleted comments, as deleted by me.

Though it's a minor thing, this behaviour kinda makes it tough to investigate he-said-she-said behaviour.

This will be fixed in the next build, it'll no longer overwrite deletion dates/users if they already exist.
