Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 155 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I have noticed that now the answers to questions are not sorted by votes anymore. Is this a new feature?

For example, this question (though you may need to refresh... random, you know..)

I assume it is related to some meta question, but I didn't find such.

Could you point to an example? I don't see it.... – Bart Mar 14 '12 at 13:01
up vote 11 down vote accepted

You can sort by 3 (three) things:

question sort

If the sort is not set to votes then it will either sort by oldest or by most recently active

+1 for stylish red circles! – hochl Mar 14 '12 at 13:07

You have a tab with three entries, active, oldest and votes. I guess you have accidently selected a different tab, reselect votes and everything is fine.
