I'm holding out for the Welbog and Rich B interviews. –  XMLbog Aug 6 '09 at 11:20
Wel-Who? Rich B is a good idea so... –  Ladybug Killer Aug 6 '09 at 11:26
You wound me, sir. –  XMLbog Aug 6 '09 at 11:27

Don't take it to heart. It was on purpose. –  Ladybug Killer Aug 6 '09 at 11:35
It's too late. I've already drunken myself to oblivion. Out here in oblivion there are cats. Hundreds of cats. Save me from their incessant mewing! Save me! –  XMLbog Aug 6 '09 at 11:43
Ouch, cats! Really? That's hard! Should I send some ponies? –  Ladybug Killer Aug 6 '09 at 11:47
Do ponies eat cats? –  XMLbog Aug 6 '09 at 11:54
What do I know? But I'm low on resources. People say they're both cute. And (-1)*(-1)=(+1) –  Ladybug Killer Aug 6 '09 at 11:57
No deal. I need something that eats at least 1d8 cats a round. –  XMLbog Aug 6 '09 at 11:58
What about 2d4? –  Ladybug Killer Aug 6 '09 at 12:02
2d4 is better. The expected number of cats consumed is higher. –  XMLbog Aug 6 '09 at 12:05
Here is the deal: raticide and mice. You bring the cheese. Raticide on cheese, mice eat cheese, cats eat mice. I was always a fan of the devious approach. –  Ladybug Killer Aug 6 '09 at 12:09
4d2 is better still, but I'd hold out for 8d1. –  Hilarious Comedy Pesto Aug 6 '09 at 12:09

Aye it's a good answer from Jon –  Ólafur Waage Aug 6 '09 at 10:58

Superuser.com - is it valid to discuss issues on computer-like devices, such as iPhone, BlackBerry, etc?

I'd like to hear a bit about how Jeff transitioned into the StackOverflow world. e.g. what "gig" did he have before this? I know he ran/runs Coding Horror but was there more?

I think many of us have side projects that we're hoping to get off the ground but we often struggle with being able to dedicate enough time to them whilst still maintaining full-time employment elsewhere.

Thus, any tips, tricks to "working for the man" while moving towards "working for yourself".

Read the older issues of Coding Horror and his About page, it's all there. I think he quit his previous job and started Stack Overflow. –  Alex Angas Aug 6 '09 at 11:41
thanks for Coding Horror about page note. I wasn't expecting that much detail to be there but I was pleasantly surprised. –  scunliffe Aug 7 '09 at 11:13
