Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Most people are already posting their questions under (10,342 at this time) while has only a few (167 at this time). I have missed examining some questions because I just noticed that the tag even existed.

Questions under the tag would probably get more attention if they were merged into or if they became tag synonyms.

Holy crap the sharepoint tag is a honeypot of crap questions. – casperOne Apr 13 '12 at 14:04
Welcome to the glorious world of SharePoint... – skeletank Apr 13 '12 at 14:15
If I were asking a question about managing sharepoint (incorrectly on SO, of course) I'd tag it Sharepoint. If I was asking about extending sharepoint, I'd tag it sharepoint-api. So I don't think this is a good idea. I think its a better one to go through the sharepoint tag and either migrate or close as off topic as much as possible. – Won't Apr 16 '12 at 17:37
@Won't So are you suggesting keeping the sharepoint-api tag and getting rid of the sharepoint one? – skeletank Apr 16 '12 at 17:53
@skeletank: If anything, yeah. – Won't Apr 16 '12 at 18:21
@Won't: I'm all up for that. I just think that there should be a single sharepoint tag. – skeletank Apr 16 '12 at 18:26
