Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I asked this question on Bicycles Meta, and was told to raise it here on Meta.SO, in order to bring it to the attention of the SE/SO staff.

I see from Jeff's response to this question that that is maybe not the way to go. But then, what is the next step forward?

Well, I'm not sure why you were told to post this here. As Jeff said in the answer you linked to, it's a site-specific thing. – a cat Apr 15 '12 at 12:52
I think it is because the Bicycles Meta is pretty low traffic. The mod who directed me here is pretty much the longest runner, so I just did as directed. I found that other question when asking this one. – zenbike Apr 15 '12 at 12:54
No, this is very site specific and it belongs in that site's meta. – Robert Cartaino Apr 15 '12 at 18:40
