Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

In Stack Overflow I answered one question asked by someone. Someone accepted my answer as the correct answer. But after that I got 4 downvotes, so I decided to delete my answer.

But, I am unable to delete an accepted answer. I checked FAQ too. How can I delete the accepted answer?

You can ask the question author to unaccept your answer, if that happens, you can delete it. – Daniel Fischer Apr 17 '12 at 12:47
You can't do it yourself. If you can improve it then do it by editing otherwise if you agree that it's plain wrong then flag it for moderator attention choosing "other" and explaining the situation. – Shadow Wizard Apr 17 '12 at 12:47
BTW guess you mean this answer? – Shadow Wizard Apr 17 '12 at 12:48

Flag it for moderator attention and explain that you want your answer deleted. In case of a negatively-voted answer the moderators will likely follow your request and delete your answer.
