So, I went to the Server Fault mod queue (/admin/dashboard) and poor old Avast gave me a heart attack telling me that the page was infected!

This is the first time I've ever had that show up in Avast on a SE network site so I'm going to assume this was a false positive, but I can't confirm because it's permanently locked me out of the page now:

Avast is nothing but false positives AFAIK. –  Jeff Mercado Apr 21 '12 at 8:45

@JeffMercado - This is the first alert it has ever given me an alert (I'm a fairly "safe" internet user), so I can't comment on that. –  Mark Henderson Apr 21 '12 at 9:05

the first time I've ever had that show up in Avast on a SE network site so I'm going to assume this was a false positive -- eh, what? I fail to follow that logic... (But +1 for reporting, even if it was false.) –  Arjan Apr 21 '12 at 22:09

@arjan - because it's on the mod dashboard... Hardly the place for a zero-day exploit... –  Mark Henderson Apr 21 '12 at 23:24

Not the first time this has happened with Avast: Avast reporting virus when browsing to SO question, Avast reporting pages as having a virus, Malicious code in SO question triggers my antivirus…What the…?. Maybe time to try another antivirus vendor? There are millions of options... –  Cody Gray Apr 22 '12 at 0:07
