Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Before things get out of hand, can someone advise whether is a valid tag?

There are a bunch of edits from one particular user appearing in the review queue. My guess is he's finding all the and questions and adding yet another tag. There are only 26 or so 'air-android' questions at the moment, but if people keep approving these edits its quickly going to increase.

Tag appears to have been created 2 hours ago... perhaps someone is trying to get themselves the Taxonomist badge? – yoozer8 May 14 '12 at 21:19
I'm kind of for adobe-air-for-android since it's separate from adobe-air. – casperOne May 14 '12 at 21:35
I would assume Air for Android has its own unique set of issues, so personally I'm fine with it as a tag. Whether the edits are appropriate is another question. – Matthew Read May 14 '12 at 22:07
Damn you, Android and your fragmentation nonsense! – BoltClock's a Unicorn May 16 '12 at 7:16

Seems to be a valid tag currently and sounds to me as if they're different enough to need different tags.

should be renamed to in this process.

It's currently synonymed, which a pedant would argue is correct. (The 'A' in AIR already stands for Adobe) – PaulG May 16 '12 at 9:10
We'll probably be OK, most questions about the gas we breathe are off-topic for Stack Overflow. :-) – Cody Gray May 16 '12 at 11:31
@PaulG air should be the synonym here, as the tag is much clearer if it is called adobe-air – örs May 16 '12 at 14:00
