Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

This would be pretty cool to have, a type of manifestation of current site activity, unobtrusively integrated into a site color or graphic. Kind of posts per minute bar, indicating activity level of the site.

Low activity:

low activity

medium activity

high activity

high activity

very high activity

very high activity

The purpose of this bar is to "show off" how active the stackexchange site is at the moment.

I think this would be a bit redundant. There is always high activity on StackOverflow. I can't see the analytics, but I'm willing to be they're always really high. – jmort253 May 19 '12 at 21:30
This seems utterly pointless. What are we supposed to do about it if/when the site activity level changes? – Cody Gray May 20 '12 at 5:20
