Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

We just got crawled for broken links for the first time, and many of the links are of the format
//        Note the & --------------------------------------^^^^^  ---------^^^^^

These links are not broken, the actual question source contains a literal ampersand character:
//         Not broken  ----------------------------------------^   --------^

See this screenshot of the broken links page and the associated posts with working links for examples. I have yet to find a post where the URL incorrectly contained the characters &, so I've started ignoring any URLs where I see this string.
