Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I was looking forward for some site/forum for the day to day hardware related issue we face and was wondering if the same can be started with in SO?

If such an SE does not yet exist (what is this hardware related issue you would like to ask a question about?), then go to Area 51 and suggest one, if there is not already a proposed SE on the topic. – Bart Jun 3 '12 at 14:30
1, and I've already seeded it with questions for you ;) – jonsca Jun 3 '12 at 14:31

Have you tried ServerFault and/or Electronics? Both of these cover aspects of computer hardware.

But the premier location in the network for these questions is SuperUser.

… and what about Super User? – slhck Jun 3 '12 at 14:42
@slhck -- I didn't realize that. Having checked their FAQ, I edited my answer to reflect this. – Ernest Friedman-Hill Jun 3 '12 at 20:13
