When browsing a tag page on SO, I find the sidebar for "Related Tags" useful to jump to other tags. However when I am browsing the PHP tag, if I click on the html tag it is added to my search so now I see only questions that are tagged with both the php and html tags. I find this misleading because "Related Tags" does not imply that the tags will be combined. I propose that instead of linking to a combined search, the related tags each link to that tags individual tag page. Does this make sense, or is there a good reason why things are the way they are?

I know this has been address by Rename "Related Tags" to indicate the special search behavior, but this question was never answered or commented on.

Just because it has been unanswered doesn't mean you should create a dupe. :-) –  Martijn Pieters Jul 29 '12 at 8:17

@MartijnPieters Is it an exact dupe? That one asks for a header change. I'm asking to change how the links work in the sidebar. –  PhpMyCoder Jul 29 '12 at 8:19

@vascogotlost Yes. That was a case of talking and typing. Good catch! Thanks. :) –  PhpMyCoder Jul 29 '12 at 8:30
