When do we start and migrate questions to the beta site for salesforce http://salesforce.stackexchange.com?

I think that new questions might be better off there.

Just to clear: These are currently existing questions - salesforce tagged questions

I believe that SE prefers not to migrate existing questions to new sites. Only new ones, and then only when a moderator is made aware of high-quality candidate. –  Michael Petrotta Aug 19 '12 at 8:24

@MichaelPetrotta He does state though "I think that new questions might be better off there"... but yeah, you're right. (Only saying this because I was about to make the same comment) –  Bart Aug 19 '12 at 8:26

@Bart: Oh yeah, the link to tagged questions threw me off. –  Michael Petrotta Aug 19 '12 at 8:27

Thanks all, but as @Bart wrote: I refer to NEW questions only. I don't think that the value of the questions should be decided here, but on the appropriate site. It does raise a question, as it's a new site, who follows it, how many known users are there, but that's a questions every new site is subject to. –  Saariko Aug 19 '12 at 8:34

You might want to be careful about migration anyway. Perhaps (if you're active in the tag) inform the OP of the question that there is a specific site they might want to consider migrating their questions to. In my experience a more forced migration sometimes leads to angry users. Their question (which is valid on SO) is migrated to this dead-end low-visibility site after all (Not my words. But I've seen this reasoning happen more than once. Even with very active Betas). –  Bart Aug 19 '12 at 8:37

@MichaelPetrotta What do you mean High Value Candidate? the beta site? or the questions itself? –  Saariko Aug 19 '12 at 8:37

@Bart that's exactly the catch22 I think we are in. also, you raised another interesting question, in the future, will SF questions (assuming site goes public) will still be valid on SO? interesting –  Saariko Aug 19 '12 at 8:39

I mean the questions, Saariko. In the past, migration was more free - if a question could conceivably be considered on-topic on a target site, it was a candidate to be migrated. The receiving sites didn't always care for that. Now, generally, questions have to be of reasonable quality to be considered for migration. Often, moderators on the receiving site are consulted first. –  Michael Petrotta Aug 19 '12 at 8:44

@Saariko: Generally, if the question is still completely on-topic for the site it was posted, it will be left on the site it was posted. Chances are programming questions about Salesforce won't get migrated there. –  animuson Aug 19 '12 at 8:46

Thanks all, I believe this is something that only time will show us the way on hot to act. –  Saariko Aug 19 '12 at 8:48

I posted a follow up here: meta.salesforce.stackexchange.com/a/76/362 since this question is more specific to Salesforce SE than the main Stack Exchange network. –  jmort253 Aug 19 '12 at 9:22
