Announcer badges are awarded when one shares "a link to a question that was visited by 25 unique IP addresses."

I shared a link to my question that was visited about 200 times, but I haven't received an Announcer badge. I think that my shared link method was not standard.

My shared question

If you're just copy/pasting the URL from the browser, it's not gonna work. You need to click on the "share" button and use that URL instead. –  Mysticial Aug 22 '12 at 7:08

What makes you think it was visited 200 times? –  animuson Aug 22 '12 at 7:08

Oh, I see what you did.

You linked this question (200 views) from this question (19 views).

Unfortunately, that's not how it works. There are several problems here:

  1. You must link it from the off the network (for example, from Twitter, your blog, or your website). You are linking it from within Stack Overflow; that doesn't count.
  2. Secondly, not all 200 views on the destination question were from the link. You only had 19 views on the source question. How can 19 views lead to 200 click-throughs?

You linked it from within Stackoverflow. That doesn't count. You must link it from outside. (such as twitter, your website, your blog, etc...) –  Mysticial Aug 22 '12 at 7:34
