Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

When I write "duplicate answer" in the textbox under "other" while flagging an answer, I get a strange popup.

Instance 1 (Stack Overflow):

blah

Instance 2 (Meta; formatting sandbox to check repro):

BLAH

This occurs only when I write "duplicate answer." For example, "duplicate blahdeh blahdeh answer" let me submit the flag, so it looks like it's not associated with just the word "duplicate."

You could provide the link of the answer it's a duplicate of? – ben is uǝq backwards Aug 25 '12 at 11:10

But the bug is the fact that it says "question..." – Mystery Aug 25 '12 at 11:11

So you're trying to flag answers as duplicates of other answers to the same question? – Bart Aug 25 '12 at 11:14

@Bart: Yes--in the case on SO, it was literally copy/pasted. – Mystery Aug 25 '12 at 11:23

Perhaps just go for the custom message then, including the direct link to the original answer. – Bart Aug 25 '12 at 11:24
