Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

A 30 minute ban, when the person isn't online anyway is hardly much of a dis-incentive. – Abizern Aug 29 '12 at 18:05
@Abizern Well, this post pretty much devalues what SO is trying to do, which is to prevent this kind of stuff from being seen. Oh well, though, I guess its better to make it known and get it fixed than to leave it alone. Still, I might have used a small helping of blur :) – Phillip Schmidt Aug 29 '12 at 18:13
"This user has been temporarily suspended by a moderator and cannot chat for 29 days." – Jeremy Banks Aug 29 '12 at 18:23
Waiting for a "Why am I no longer allowed to chat?" in 3...2... – Bart Aug 29 '12 at 18:33
@PhillipSchmidt: Better than nobody seeing it is everyone seeing that it's not tolerated. – David Robinson Aug 29 '12 at 20:15
