Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

If you use the mobile mode, then sort questions by newest, the usernames displayed won't be the ones of the author, they will be the one who made the last activity (just like when we sort by active in the normal mode).

I believe this is a bug, it wouldn't make much sense why it behaves different from the non-mobile mode.

Note: I didn't check with other kind of sorting, but maybe it happens with others too.

Yikes, you should charge your iPod. ;) – Adam Lear Aug 30 '12 at 1:28
@Skliwz discussion?! If it's by design, it's totally fair to tag as such. But bug report can hardly be a discussion... – Shadow Wizard May 14 '14 at 9:36
The list of favorites on one’s profile page also lists the name of the editor rather than of the OP, no matter which sorting option. – Xufox May 24 '15 at 20:39
