Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

For my original question I've found the answer here. However, in the FAQ, I think it would be useful to indicate explicitly that one cannot delete messages older than 120s. So, I propose the modification of this part: with the following:

You have 120 seconds to edit or delete your messages.

I propose:

You have 120 seconds to edit your messages. After this 2 minute window, messages can neither be edited nor deleted - except by moderators.

+1 for being more informative. – dezso Sep 3 '12 at 21:41
Seems too redundant. The entire first sentence is covered by the second sentence. I'd say just use the second sentence. – animuson Sep 4 '12 at 0:20
Redundancy is sometimes worth it. I'd add the OP's "or delete" to the first sentence here too. – Mark Hurd Sep 4 '12 at 6:27
I agree with @Mark - this is a FAQ, not a [your favourite programming language] function :) – dezso Sep 4 '12 at 6:30
