Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Someone answered a question

And then I got a notification in my inbox

And then I clicked on it

And then I did not find it useful

And then I downvoted it

And then I saw the answer was deleted

And then I smiled

But my inbox is still spammed :(

There is no way to remove these things from your inbox. Even if the answer is deleted, the notification will still be there.

Once you have clicked on it, the red notification bubble will disappear and the notification is marked as "read".

The MultiCollider SuperDropdown™ only shows "recent" stories. To see your entire inbox, you can visit your Stack Exchange profile.

Sarkazm has been deprecated since version 6.0. Please use the more recent Snarkumber methods. – Lix Sep 6 '12 at 13:01
@Lix: I thought Snarkumber was deprecated, too, and replaced with SumOLove? – Time Traveling Bobby Sep 6 '12 at 13:30
SumOLove was discontinued... prepare yourselves... winter is coming... – Lix Sep 6 '12 at 13:44
