Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Suppose I have a linux administration related question, having in mind some specific Debian box.

Then it often seems reasonable to search all the three communities mentioned above (serverfault, unix and askubuntu), as either of these can have at least some part of the right answer )

This, of course, could be done with a Google query like

[my query] AND ( OR \
        OR \

But I am probably missing some way to set some nice check boxes on the main site -- sth like a missing "advanced query" link near the "search all sites" box, am I not? Ж:-)
