Encouraging people to explain down-votes
PLEASE give us some way to identify the people that down-vote questions. It is ludicrous that some of these question Nazis do that without explanation.
No, no, no.
As explained in the duplicate I proposed (and dozens of similar questions since), identifying down-voters would do two things, in this order:
Anonymous down-voting is a crucial aspect of this site. Can it be abused? Certainly. Can abuse be prolonged and pervasive? Not very easily - there are a lot of built-in and manual mechanisms to prevent that.
If folks want to explain their down-vote, they can, in a comment. I've stopped doing that because of multiple instances of point 1. Revenge down-voting against me (among other more offensive things) when someone's answer was down-voted, even in cases where I was providing constructive criticism and wasn't among the down-voters.
In order to get full enjoyment from the site, stop worrying about down-votes. If you're posting good quality, the up-votes far out-weigh the down-votes (by 2.5x or 5x). Let them go.
