I used to see red alerts on top left corner when there is a comment or answer to questions that I am either posting or commneted on. However, I don't see them now a days. Any idea?

It works for me. Did you get notified about this comment? –  juergen d Oct 9 '12 at 18:42
@juergend I guess not, seeing as Kiran's completely AWOL. –  blahdiblah Oct 10 '12 at 6:56
When you go to your global inbox what do you see? –  Shadow Wizard Oct 10 '12 at 8:43
wow, I just saw the comment and realized that the first one was posted 17hrs ago. I noticed that I do see the notification but there is a significant delay.. –  Kiran Oct 10 '12 at 11:55
@Kiran - I see the items in your inbox immediately after they were created...where are you seeing a delay? Are you behind a proxy? There may be some extreme bad mis-caching in play if you are. –  Nick Craver Oct 10 '12 at 11:57
Nick, I see your point. I see a delay when I am at work which explains as I am behind some strict proxy. Thanks for the update. –  Kiran Oct 10 '12 at 14:30
