Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 150 Stack Exchange communities.

Stackoverflow is a good RPG so far with so called reputation (which I easily decrypted as being xp) But it can become a great RPG. It needs more emphasis every times you make a level. And there should be a few more levels. For example, split the 100 rep level into 2 levels.

And there should be titles along with each level : Beginner, Helper, Communist, Nerd, Full Grown Geek, Young Jeff Atwood, Young Edsger Dijkstra, and finally : Q.

Personnaly I want 16 charisma and 18 intel. And 7 strength as ever other geek...

I think you mean Jon Skeet, not Q. – Brad Gilbert Aug 18 '09 at 0:11
Fine for the Jon Skeet level, but Q after. The Q level is not negotiable. – Philippe Carriere Aug 18 '09 at 0:13
No .. Jon Skeet is the highest level. – Tyler Carter Aug 18 '09 at 0:14
Order people ! Order ! You cannot ignore the Q. Unless you're a treacherous SW fan. – Philippe Carriere Aug 18 '09 at 0:16
Silence must be new here. – TheTXI Aug 18 '09 at 0:16
Why must I be new ? I recognize the Jon Skeet. I just think the Q should follow in the logical order of things. – Philippe Carriere Aug 18 '09 at 0:18
No .. Jon Skeet is beyond logic. He supercedes Logic. – Tyler Carter Aug 18 '09 at 0:19
I'd like to know what the Jon Skeet thinks about this. Jon Skeet ? Do you possess infinite knowledge ? – Philippe Carriere Aug 18 '09 at 0:20
Consult Jon Skeet's answer on this post: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/9134/jon-skeet-facts – Tyler Carter Aug 18 '09 at 0:22
Fine. He is a absolute being. Let's put him after Q. – Philippe Carriere Aug 18 '09 at 0:25
"And 7 strength as ever other geek..." Speak for yourself. Some of us are jocks in our spare time. – dmckee Aug 18 '09 at 0:29

Although I like the game aspects of it, the more and more you try and make it a game, the more and more people are going to treat it like a game, and that isn't always an ideal situation.

You could put a Game Interface on it Greasemonkey. That would be interesting. – Tyler Carter Aug 18 '09 at 0:07

There are always people trying to game the system.

Why should we encourage this behaviour?

Yes the game aspect does promote continued activity, but we don't want it to be just another game on the Internet.
