Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

This question already has an answer here:

I wanted to flag a question - http://stackoverflow.com/q/13074711/1176601 - as off-topic and suggest moving to http://security.stackexchange.com, but I didn't find it on the list of other-topic sites..

What should I do in cases like this?

You should flag for moderation attention, and ask for the question to be migrated. Keep in mind that if a question is on topic for Stack Overflow, it will not be migrated, even if it's a bit more suitable on another site.

thanks, what is your opinion about this particular question? – Aprillion Oct 25 '12 at 22:51

@deathApril I'm not very familiar with Sec.SE's scope. Their FAQ mentions "web app hardening", so it's probably on topic, but I'm not 100% sure. – Yannis Oct 25 '12 at 22:56

We could accept this as on topic on Security - feel free to flag for migration :-) – Rory Alsop Oct 25 '12 at 23:06

no worries - I did too. Sometimes mod flags from the destination site get acted on a bit faster :-) – Rory Alsop Oct 25 '12 at 23:16
