Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Well, I already searched meta as well as cleared my browser cache. I realize this may be a SO cache problem, but it still seems kind of strange to me.

The deleted question is this one, for 10k users(assuming it still exists).

Shouldn't deleted questions only be visible to 10k users? I'm only at 2k.

The lists are indeed cached, and deleted questions may still show in the list for a short time before they disappear. – animuson Nov 3 '12 at 0:42
@animuson Do you know how much time that constitutes? – Daedalus Nov 3 '12 at 0:45
I have no idea, I think it depends on when the cache was last updated and which list, but generally I don't see deleted questions in lists more than a minute after they get deleted. – animuson Nov 3 '12 at 0:47
@Shog9 Why is this by design? – user215114 Nov 4 '13 at 6:32
Caching is necessary for performance reasons. Deleted question visibility should be brief, but sometimes is unavoidable. – Shog9 Nov 4 '13 at 6:35
