I can't access Stack Overflow when I'm at home. I can access it from the university or anywhere else, it works perfectly for me when using a VPN, but not over my "normal" internet connection.

Then, I'm getting http://stackoverflow.com/error?aspxerrorpath=/. Sometimes I get the side with the picture and the message that Stack Overflow is down for maintenance, but in most cases only a Runtime Error.

I removed [bug] because I don't think it's necessarily relevant. It appears to be a network or permissions issue with your home internet, which makes this something that no one here can help with. Do you have anything to prove that it is not? –  ben is uǝq backwards Nov 11 '12 at 16:50

@Ben That he gets the SE error page suggests that it might be a problem from the SE side. They're still running out of Oregon, it could easily be some DNS stuff or something else that is broken due to the datacenter failover. –  Mad Scientist Nov 11 '12 at 16:53

I can only say, that Stack Overflow is the only site that stops working. Ping stackoverflow.com works also. –  user201829 Nov 11 '12 at 16:53

Some things that might help us help you: Where are you trying to access SO from? What browser/OS are you using? Have you been able to access SO from home before? If so, when did the problems start? –  hammar Nov 11 '12 at 17:07

I'm trying to access from Germany, using Telekom as provider. I tried with MacOS, Windows and iOS using Firefox, Chrome and Safari. I could always access SO without problem from home until hmm, i think the problems started right after the hurricane sandy. –  user201829 Nov 11 '12 at 17:13
