Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

For instance, I can't remember, how to debug a specific function from specific module with python debugger (pdb) and can't find it in manual, but I remember, that I did it. May be, someone on stack is sitting in debug right now and can quickly hope me out in 5 minutes.

So, I probably shouldn't post such a stupid question on stack, but ask it in chat. But is there any general-purpose room, that just lists all the incoming questions + such stupid micro-questions?

I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but it sounds like you want the chat. Questions which are basically just "Can you do x for me?", "How does y work?" or "How do I do z?" are most likely downvote and close-worthy. – Time Traveling Bobby Nov 27 '12 at 7:52
@SulfurizedDemonbobby Yes, seems so, but chat is split into many rooms and I probably won't get attention (although it really takes 30 seconds to answer). So, is there a huge room that is visible, e.g. to all people, who follow python tag? – Bob Nov 27 '12 at 7:55
Searching the chat-rooms on SO revealed that there is a dedicated Python room. – Time Traveling Bobby Nov 27 '12 at 8:02
@SulfurizedDemonbobby Yeah, I'm currently sitting in it, but it seems to me, that this room is just a random room, created by a user, who chose "python" name for it. Or I'm wrong? :) – Bob Nov 27 '12 at 8:04
@SulfurizedDemonbobby I found out that it is a dedicated python chat room, cause "python" tag leads to this discussion room: Thanks! – Bob Nov 27 '12 at 8:10
