Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I would like to run a poll on the income of people. What is the best StackExchange platform to run this on?

Certainly that would be closed as "not constructive" on any site? – Mysticial Dec 11 '12 at 1:18

I'm sorry, but we don't allow that kind of solicitation on our sites.

Oh. I am sorry. I was also very unsure about where to ask for this. Too sad since I guess there is a big demand for such solicitations. – JJD Dec 11 '12 at 1:39

@JJD No worries. Thanks for checking first. :) – Adam Lear Dec 11 '12 at 1:42

I should imagine that you could advertise a poll of this kind on one carefully selected chat if you disclose you relationship with it. Within reason of course: start spamming and it will be treated as spam. Of course, that doesn't guarantee that anyone will take it. Or is even this vorbotten? – dmckee Dec 11 '12 at 2:04
