Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

It seems to me that the questions we would want most answered are the ones that are getting the most Google hits. I think that when you click on the "Unanswered" button on the home page instead of being in the "newest" tab you should by default be in a "most viewed" tab. This will call attention to questions that the most users want answered, so that people can answer them or close them as needed.

You already can search for questions filtered by a minimum number of views. Unfortunately, you can't sort by views, so this is pretty sorely needed. – Asad Saeeduddin Jan 8 '13 at 3:16
