What is meta? ×
Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 127 Stack Exchange communities.

Whenever I try to login to my Stack Overflow account using my "careers.stackoverflow.com" OpenID, it shows the following message:-

Oops! Something Bad Happened!

We apologize for any inconvenience, but an unexpected error occurred while you were
browsing our site.

It’s not you, it’s us. This is our fault.

Detailed information about this error has automatically been recorded and we have been
notified.

Yes, we do look at every error. We even try to fix some of them.

It’s not strictly necessary, but if you’d like to give us additional information about
this error, do so at our feedback site, meta.stackoverflow.com.

I would like it if this could be resolved soon, because I am unable to login to my account.

Did you clear all *.stackoverflow.com cookies? Try that and let us know what happened. –  Oded Jan 13 '13 at 13:57

I don't think it's OpenID, you need to use your existing account on Stack Overflow to log in on careers, not the other way around. –  Shadow Wizard Jan 13 '13 at 14:14

@ShaWizDowArd - I was logging in using "careers" openID before this problem occurred... –  user208087 Jan 13 '13 at 14:25

@Oded - I cleared all the cookies. The error is still there. –  user208087 Jan 13 '13 at 14:26
