Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 155 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

We can now change our profile pic to a picture uploaded from our PC. Thanks for announcing a new way to change your profile picture. This feature is pretty good, but whenever we upload a picture it directly sets the whole picture as the profile picture.

Can we have feature for cropping of uploaded pictures as profile pics? Otherwise, we are required to first crop the picture and then upload it as profile picture.

“Otherwise we are required to crop first required picture and then upload it as profile picture” — yeah, that sounds like a horrible thing to do – F'x Jan 16 '13 at 9:54
