Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 128 Stack Exchange communities.

I am new to the Stack Overflow community, so I need some help. I wrote some text, and then I wrote some piece of code, but I got an error:

Oops! Your question couldn't be submitted because:
Your post appears to contain code that is not properly formatted as code. Please indent all code by 4 spaces using the code toolbar button or the CTRL+K keyboard shortcut. For more editing help, click the [?] toolbar icon. You need at least one valid tag; see a list of popular tags.

Why did that happen?

OK, look at the "Your Answer" box you see below. Do you see the button with the braces { } on it? Highlight all of your code, and then press that button. Question boxes work the same way. –  Robert Harvey Jan 28 '13 at 16:09

Well, does it contain code you didn't appropriately format? Perhaps put your raw post source somewhere so we can see it. –  Bart Jan 28 '13 at 16:09

"Must at lest include one of these tags" does not mean "must include all of these tags." –  balpha Jan 28 '13 at 16:09

I think the error is pretty self-explanatory. –  Rocket Hazmat Jan 28 '13 at 17:43
