Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I tried to submit an edit to this question, and on clicking "Save Edits", I did not get the usual your edit is visible only to you until... thing, so thought something was wrong. I then did it again, just in case someone rejected it quickly. Still got the same issue. I even did a hard refresh, just to make sure, and still... same issue.

It turns out that my suggested edit was successful, so it was just some glitch somewhere (I use Chrome 24). Anyone else experienced this?

Hmm, what happened to that suggested edit though? No reviews, no longer reviewable and not applied... – Bart Feb 2 '13 at 20:46
Not sure I understand, but by successful, I meant that someone approved it. – Tshepang Feb 2 '13 at 20:51
Nope, nobody did. I don't see that edit being applied. – Bart Feb 2 '13 at 20:54
What! Weird. I would bet I saw it was applied some minutes ago (while composing this question). Maybe I was mistaken. – Tshepang Feb 2 '13 at 20:57
@Tshepang: It says that the item is no longer reviewable. Normally, it would be approve or reject for a suggested edit on a post that is not deleted. – nhahtdh Feb 3 '13 at 9:21
Weird, no roll back or any other activity on the question. Looks like a glitch in the code handling the suggested edit itself, e.g. failure to add to the database. Can you try and suggest the edit again so we'll see if it's permanent glitch with that question, or just a temp hiccup that we can ignore? – Shadow Wizard Feb 3 '13 at 9:23
@nhahtdh Yeah, but I did not even get any such indication in the UI. – Tshepang Feb 3 '13 at 9:23
@ShaWizDowArd same issue still. – Tshepang Feb 3 '13 at 9:26
@ShaWizDowArd though the edit appears here – Tshepang Feb 3 '13 at 9:35
@ShaWizDowArd in my display, it shows as a new one actually... check the Edit Summary – Tshepang Feb 3 '13 at 9:42
