What is meta? ×
Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 134 Stack Exchange communities.

Consider the public traffic data on Quantcast:

enter link description here

Divide the vertical axis by 7 and you get the average visitors in the seven days prior to the day on the horizontal axis. This is the closest I can get to the number published on StackExchange.com, which isn't quite similar at all: the median value of accesses in the last 14 days.

Let me try and painstakingly put the numbers on the same graph:

Is it just me or things don't quite add up?

Boredom levels: skyrocketing. –  badp Feb 3 '13 at 18:25
Oh; Quantcast's numbers on visits/person are currently: 1.0 for Super User, Arqade and Server Fault; 1.1 for Ask Ubuntu. (Basically, they're not quite precise enough for comparison purposes.) –  badp Feb 3 '13 at 18:29
I'm still rather amused by your "Fifty shades of salmon", well done. –  Tim Stone Feb 3 '13 at 18:32
I don't know if I should upvote (there is a discrepancy, and you've clearly put some effort in the question) or downvote (to discourage your boredom fuelled pedantry). –  Yannis Feb 3 '13 at 18:33
@TimStone Had to make up for the lack of freehanded circles. –  badp Feb 3 '13 at 18:57
