Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

If someone edits the tags of a question and someone else edits both the body and the tags, the latter edit can't go through and suggests refreshing.

Can a notice perhaps be shown instead, and the edits merged?

Isn't this a [bug]? More substantial edits are always supposed to win. – Josh Caswell Feb 17 '13 at 23:01
@JoshCaswell: Huh, I suppose so. The message did say "the tags on this question have already been edited", though, so I figured it was somehow the intended behaviour. – Ryan O'Hara Feb 18 '13 at 3:41
