Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

See Contact form only sends message but not the other fields.

This brand new user originally just posted a link to a website. I posted a comment asking them to paste their code directly instead of just linking to it. They responded by adding a statement to their question:

i cant seem to paste php code with CTRL + K it gives me the error saying that my code is not properly formatted

Firstly, I'm not sure what CTRL + K is, I always just use CTRL + V, but I assume they know how to paste and the CTRL + K works for them. But anybody know what the "error saying that [the] code is not properly formatted" is about? I've never seen SO return an error like that, and I'm not sure how to help this user further.

CTRL+K is how you indent code (when it is selected) on the Stack Exchange sites. – Daniel Fischer Feb 20 '13 at 23:26
