Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I came through this tag today . There are some questions tagged with this, but IMO this tag individually should not exist in the first place.

It has 0 followers and has no tag wiki.

Shouldn't it be deleted?

This question appears to be off-topic. The users who voted to close gave this specific reason:

  • "This question pertains only to a specific site in the Stack Exchange Network. Questions on Meta Stack Exchange should pertain to our network or software that drives it as a whole, within the guidelines defined in the help center. You should ask this question on the meta site where your concern originated." – CRABOLO, Monica Cellio, Ward, Aziz Shaikh, ben is uǝq backwards
If this question can be reworded to fit the rules in the help center, please edit the question.

It has 113 questions. Why do you say that no followers and wiki mean that it should be deleted? – Raghav Sood Mar 7 '13 at 13:50
@RaghavSood by followers i mean no body has starred that tag. And that tag does not make sense? How would you interpret this tag? – Narendra Pathai Mar 7 '13 at 13:51
downvoter please comment so that i can understand where I am wrong. I am new to meta and trying to be helpful. – Narendra Pathai Mar 7 '13 at 13:53
@NarendraPathai: Downvote is disagreeement, not that you did anything wrong. – Brian Mar 7 '13 at 13:54
@NarendraPathai Remember that votes work differently on Meta, they're simply an "I Agree" or a "I Disagree". – mattytommo Mar 7 '13 at 13:54
Can anyone suggest be an edit to this question to make it more appropriate? – Narendra Pathai Mar 7 '13 at 13:58
There's nothing wrong with it. – Brian Mar 7 '13 at 14:00
@0A0D ok then i would not change it. Thanks – Narendra Pathai Mar 7 '13 at 14:01

I disagree, I think it should stay. It is already used by 100+ questions and they are valid use cases.

I've added a tag wiki entry for it and a brief explanation of the topic itself. If anyone feels like improving it, feel free :). I don't have the reputation to auto-edit, so my edit is pending review.

Thanks. I would remove the question. – Narendra Pathai Mar 7 '13 at 13:54
@NarendraPathai I wouldn't say remove the question, you have highlighted the need for the tag wiki to be in place. – mattytommo Mar 7 '13 at 13:55
It would be nice if you can edit the question or suggest me an edit. – Narendra Pathai Mar 7 '13 at 13:56
I'll suggest one for you (as I don't want my edit to be rejected for vandalism). I'd re-word it to say how the wiki needs an explanation and more information around it. – mattytommo Mar 7 '13 at 13:58
