Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I don't see any case where the tag could be useful (or for that matter). Questions tagged with this tag are always tagged with a programming language, which is much more pertinent.

Should it be Burninated?

Ha, I was about to suggest the same after rejecting your tag wiki proposals. :) – Bart Mar 8 '13 at 14:29
"alphabetic" can probably go along with them. – Wooble Mar 8 '13 at 14:38
@Bart I realized it was useless just after writing them ;) – alestanis Mar 8 '13 at 14:44
After scanning through the questions with this tag, I think it might be best to put letter as a synonym of character and prune out the few questions that are not about characters. While 'letter' and 'character' are not exactly the same, as far as programming challenges go, the difference between those two doesn't really matter. – Sumurai8 Sep 30 '13 at 7:26
